I’m so excited to tell you about our latest project! We started with a question: How can we see the past with our own eyes? It was an incredible journey, and we went beyond our planet with the James Webb Telescope.
I was the director, designer, and animator for this project, and I would like to take you behind the scenes to show you how this collaborative effort came to life, with the help of Bibars, our story editor, and Alaa, our videographer.
The mission of our project was to explain how telescopes allow us to see into the past, what redshift is, and to translate these complex ideas into a nice video.
To ensure that our explainer video was both informative and visually captivating, Bibars interviewed a NASA scientist who provided great insights and examples to help explain the complex concepts. and I created a shot-by-shot plan. I wrote down every motion graphic idea, noted the length of each shot, and determined the angle at which we should shoot each part. The script needed simplification without compromising accuracy.
The day of the shoot was an exhilarating experience. We gathered at the studio, eager and ready to bring our vision to life. Watching the concepts we’d discussed in meetings transform into reality was simply amazing. We combined graphics, visuals, and Alaa’s expert videography to breathe life into our project.
Despite the intensity of our project, we had a fantastic time during the shoot. Our shared passion for science and storytelling made the process enjoyable and rewarding. I’m deeply grateful to Bibars and Alaa for entrusting me with this opportunity. Their unwavering support and collaboration were the driving forces behind turning our vision into reality.
Our explainer video for Alhurra channel, featuring the James Webb Telescope and explaining how we can see into the past and the intriguing concept of redshift, is a testament to the power of teamwork and creative storytelling. We hope that our video ignites your curiosity and inspires awe for the cosmos. Stay tuned for more exciting projects as we continue our mission to create informative and visually appealing videos.
